Running, starting over

So I went running with my brother-in-law today. We were both planning on using the treadmill, but when we got there one was broken, so I ended up on the elliptical trainer thingy. We worked out for 60 minutes. Over that time, I averaged 6.5 miles per hour, burned about 940 calories, and went… (duh) 6.5 miles. I can’t remember the last time I was so wiped out after a workout. We’re planning to do this together every Saturday, and he’s been a cross-country runner, so running with him will give me something to work for. Hopefully I’ll catch up to his ability to run before too long. I think having this to look forward to on Saturdays, though, will help me run consistently during the week. The biggest problem is, really, that I don’t enjoy running. I can’t think of a better way to get in shape and drop some weight quickly, though, so it’s what I do.
